살별란향

Definition

살별란향은 붓꽃과의 여러해살이풀인 살별란을 주재료로 삼아 만든 향이다. 살별란은 번홍화(番紅花)·장홍화(藏紅花)·살복란(撒馥蘭) 등의 이칭이 있으나 현재는 사프란(Saffron)이라 한다. 서유구(徐有榘)의 《임원경제지 이운지(林園經濟志 怡雲志)》에 만드는 방법이 실려있다.
