The Eight Scenic Views of Gwangsan-gu are eight notable sites designated by Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju Metropolitan City, each accompanied by a verse celebrating its beauty. The First View, Lofty Peaks of Yongjinsan Mountain, signifies the majestic sight of the sharply rising peaks of Yongjinsan Mountain. The Second View, Sunset Beyond Eodeungsan Mountain, depicts the evening glow setting beyond Eodeungsan Mountain. The Third View, Fishing Lights on the Hwangnyonggang River, recalls the shimmering lights from fishing along the Hwangnyonggang River. The Fourth View, Water and Field Scenery of the Geungnakgang River, conveys the charm of the vast and verdant fields along the Geungnakgang River. The Fifth View, Rainbow over the Rocks of Seongmunsan Mountain, refers to the seven-colored rainbow arching between the rocks of Seongmunsan Mountain. The Sixth View, Clouds Returning to Bongnyongsan Mountain, portrays the white clouds drifting along the slopes of Bongnyongsan Mountain. The Seventh View, Late Return from Pungyeongjeong Pavilion, recalls the refined pastime of composing poetry at Pungyeongjeong Pavilion and returning late at night. Finally, the Eighth View, Songs beneath the Pines of Hogajeong Pavilion, captures the scene of joyful songs sung beneath the deep pine shade of Hogajeong Pavilion.
