국문
『지장보살본원경(地藏菩薩本願經)』은 지장보살에게 예배하는 공덕(功德)*을 적은 불경이다. 지상보살은 지옥에서 고통 받는 중생을 구제하여 극락왕생을 실현하게 해 주는 보살로 주로 사찰의 명부전(冥府殿)에 모셔진다. 우리나라에서 죽은 부모를 천도하는 지장재(地藏齋)가 이 경전을 따른 것이다.
