해설문

국문

광영지는 마음을 닦고 학문에 정진하도록 배려한 ‘서원 속의 정원’이다. 네모난 연못 가운데 둥근 섬이 있는데, 이러한 한국 전통 연못의 모습을 ‘천원지방(天圓地方)’이라고 한다. 이는 ‘하늘은 둥글고 땅은 네모나다.’는 뜻으로, 동아시아 사회의 전통적인 우주관이자 세계관을 나타낸다.
