해설문

국문

1960년대 주단거리가 한창 번창할 때 신축한 상가주택으로 염색재료 상점의 기능을 그대로 유지해 온 건물이다. 건물의 입면은 창호에 의해 4개의 격자로 나누어졌고, 타일을 사용한 외관 등에서 당시 유행했던 건축양식의 특징이 잘 드러난다. 이곳은 건물의 개보수 흔적을 알 수 있는 건축도면을 그대로 보관하고 있어 당시 상가의 원형을 파악하는 데 중요한 건물이다.

Modern Commercial Residential Building No. 3 of Pyeongdong-ro, Iksan

This two-story building was built in the 1960s when the high-quality silk business was at its peak in this area. The building consists of a commercial space on the street level and a residential space above. A textile dye store has been operating in this building since the time it was built.

The facade of the building features prominent horizontal and vertical lines. The exterior of the building is covered with tiles, which was a popular design at the time. The blueprint of the building contains information about its renovations and remodelings which makes it possible to know the original plan of the building.

영문 해설 내용

이 2층 건물은 이 골목에 주단 상점들이 한창 번창하던 1960년대에 지어진 상가 주택이다. 건축 당시부터 지금까지 옷감의 염색재료를 판매하는 상점이 운영되고 있다.

건물 앞면은 수평과 수직이 강조된 형태이고, 외벽은 타일로 마감하였다. 이러한 모습은 건축 당시 유행했던 특징이다. 그리고 이 건물은 개보수 과정을 파악할 수 있는 건축도면이 있어, 원형을 파악하는 데 중요한 자료가 된다.
