Woramjae Ritual House

Woramjae Ritual House was established in 1934 for the preparation of ancestral rituals and the maintenance of the tomb of Kim Ho (1534-1592), a military official and civilian army leader of the Joseon period (1392-1910).

Kim Ho passed the state examination in 1570. He retired early and returned to his hometown of Gyeongju. Upon the outbreak of the Japanese invasions of 1592, he led a civilian army and helped to defend Gyeongju. However, he was killed in the Battle of Gyeyeon.

The building consists of a wooden-floored hall in the center and underfloor-heated rooms to each side with a narrow wooden veranda along the front. It was renovated to be used as a traditional culture experience accommodation.
