『석씨원류(釋氏源流)』는 석가모니의 일대기와 석가모니 이후 서역 및 중국에서 불법이 전파된 사실을 기술한 책이다.

원명사『석씨원류』는 1673년(현종 14)에 간행된 것으로 보물로 지정된 불암사(佛巖寺)*『석씨원류응화사적책판(釋氏源流應化事蹟冊板)』판본과 같은 체제이다. 섬세하게 새긴 그림, 약간의 행서**를 가미한 서각이 우수하여 서지학적 가치가 높다.

The Life and Activities of Sakyamuni Buddha Incarnate tells the story of Sakyamuni Buddha's life and describes how his teachings and the translations of the Buddhist scriptures spread throughout China.

This copy of the Life and Activities of Sakyamuni Buddha Incarnate kept at Wonmyeongsa Temple was printed in 1673. Its style matches the printing woodblocks (Treasure) made the same year at Buramsa Temple in Namyangju. Its detailed illustrations and its calligraphic style, which incorporates a slight semi-cursive script, are outstanding, making it highly valued in the field of bibliography.
