해설문
국문
이 건물은 대적광전 동쪽에 위치하고 있으며, 약사여래를 모신 불전이다. 세운 시기는 알 수 없으나 「중건기(重建記)」에 효종 5년(1654)에 중창하였다는 기록이 있어 그 이전에 건립되었음을 알 수 있다.
건물은 앞면 3칸 옆면 1칸인 소규모로 다포 양식의 맞배지붕으로 되어 있다. 기림사의 다른 불전들처럼 기단이 매우 낮고, 측면에 문을 내지 않았다. 건물 안에 약사여래와 일광, 월광보살의 삼존불을 봉안하였다. 본존상은 좌상이고, 좌우의 보살상은 입상이다. 2009년 삼존불의 개금 보수할 때 채색했던 흔적이 확인되었고 1679년의 「중수기」와 후령통(候鈴筒)* 등이 나왔다.

Yaksajeon Hall of Girimsa Temple
Yaksajeon is a Buddhist worship hall for the veneration of Bhaisajyaguru, the Medicine Buddha, who is believed to possess the power to heal illness and physical defects. Yaksajeon Hall of Girimsa Temple is presumed to have been constructed prior to 1654. The building is relatively small and has a gable roof, a low stone foundation, and no windows on the sides.
Enshrined inside the worship hall is a Buddhist triad consisting of a Bhaisajyaguru in the center and two attendant bodhisattvas, Suryaprabha (Bodhisattva of Sunlight) and Candraprabha (Bodhisattva of Moonlight). In 2009, the statues were re-gilded, at which time traces of paint were discovered. Various artifacts were found within the statues, including a record of repair dating to 1679 and a reliquary for votive objects.
