해설문

국문

국보 제27호 금동아미타불좌상을 모신 전각으로 아미타불이 있는 서방극락정토를 상징한다. 임진왜란 때 석조 기단만 남고 불에 탔다. 1750년 남은 기단 위에 앞면 3칸, 옆면 3칸 규모의 건물을 다시 세웠으며, 이후 여러 차례 보수하였다.

Geungnakjeon Hall

Geungnakjeon is a Buddhist worship hall for the veneration of Amitabha, the Buddha of the Western Paradise. To symbolize the Western Paradise, this worship hall stands in its own courtyard to the west of the main worship hall. The building dates to 1750 and has since undergone several repairs. The statue of Amitabha enshrined inside is designated as National Treasure No. 27.
