법집별행록절요병입사기는 보조국사 지눌(知訥)이 당나라 종밀(宗密)이 저술한 《법집행별록》에서 복잡한 내용을 줄이고 자신의 견해를 덧붙여 편집한 책이다
심원사 법집별행록절요병입사기는 1588년(선조 21) 운문사에서 중간*된 1책의 단행본으로 간행시기와 간행장소가 분명한 임진왜란 이전의 판본이라는 점에서 가치를 인정받았다.
- 『지장보살본원경』과 함께 현재 사찰의 제5대 주지(1956년)의 유품으로 받아 지금까지 보관해오고 있다.

영문
Beobjip byeolhaengnok jeoryo byeongip sagi (Excerpts from the Dharma Collection and Special Practice Record with Personal Notes) of Simwonsa Temple, Geoje
This book was compiled by the renowned Buddhist monk Jinul (i.e. State Preceptor Bojo, 1158-1210), who is considered the forefather of Korean Seon (Zen) Buddhism. It consists of Jinul’s summary of and personal notes on the Dharma Collection and Special Practice Record, which was written by the Chinese Buddhist monk and scholar Guifeng Zongmi (780-840).
This copy kept at Simwonsa Temple was printed with woodblocks in 1588 at Unmunsa Temple in today’s Cheongdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do. The inclusion of its publication year and location, as well as its relatively good condition, make it a valuable example of a Buddhist text printed in the early period of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910).

『법집별행록절요병입사기』는 보조국사 지눌(1158-1210)이 당나라 종밀(宗密, 780-840)이 저술한 『법집행별록』에서 중요한 부분을 요약하고 자신의 견해를 덧붙여 편집한 책이다.
심원사에 소장된 『법집별행록절요병입사기』는 1588년 청도 운문사에서 간행되었다. 간행 기록과 간행 장소가 명확하고, 보존상태가 비교적 양호한 조선시대 전기의 판본이라는 점에서 가치가 높은 것으로 평가된다.
