상화

Definition

상화(床花)는 조선시대 궁중연향에서 잔칫상을 장식하는 다양한 종류의 비단 꽃을 일컫는 말이다. 궁중채화의 한 종류이다. 상화로는 삼층수파련, 이층수파련, 일층수파련, 홍도이지화, 홍도삼지화, 홍도별건화, 홍도간화, 각색절화 등이 있다. 각색절화는 월계화, 시자화, 과자화, 유자화, 포도화, 사계화, 목단화, 국화, 가지화, 복분자화 등 다양하다.
