복건

Definition

복건(幅巾)은 유생들이 의복에 갖추어 쓰던 건(巾)이다. 베의 온폭[幅]을 사용해 만들었기 때문에 복건(幞巾)이라고도 한다. 복건은 위는 둥글고 뾰족하며 뒤쪽으로 넓고 긴 자락을 늘어뜨려 양쪽 옆에 있는 끈을 뒤로 가게 한 다음 잡아맨다. 폭건(幅巾)이라고도 한다. 서유구(徐有榘)의 《임원경제지 섬용지(林園經濟志 贍用志)》에 복건이 실려있다.
