판장

Definition

판장은 문에서 들어가는 길을 가리려 하거나 안채와 바깥채의 사이를 떼어 나누고자 할 때 만드는 판벽으로, 담장의 역할을 대신한다. 서유구(徐有榘)의 《임원경제지 섬용지(林園經濟志 贍用志)》에 판장의 제도가 실려있다.
