쪽물

Definition

쪽물 [靛花]은 쪽풀에서 추출한 염료로, 한여름에 수확해 색소를 분리 추출하여 사용한다. 청대라고도 부른다. 서유구(徐有榘)의 《임원경제지 섬용지(林園經濟志 贍用志)》에 쪽물을 제작하여 활용하는 방법이 실려있다.
