한명회와 부인 여흥민씨 묘소는 1488년과 1490년에 조성되었으며, 한명회의 봉분이 앞, 부인 봉분이 뒤에 있다. 두 봉분을 감싸는 돌 담장은 충청남도에서 매우 특별한 사례이다. 묘표는 각 봉분 앞에 건립되어 있으며, 장명등, 무석인 2쌍은 한명회 봉분 앞에 건립되어 있다. 무인석을 2쌍 건립하는 것은 매우 드문 사례인데, 조선 초 왕릉 석인상의 특징을 잘 계승하고 있다.

Tomb of Han Myeong-hoe

This tomb consists of two burial mounds that belong to the civil official Han Myeong-hoe (the front mound) and his wife Lady Min (the rear mound). The mounds were made in 1488 and 1490, respectively. The stone wall surrounding the mounds is an unusual feature that is uncommon for the Chungcheongnam-do region. Each mound is identified by its own tomb marker. The stone sculptures in front of Han Myeong-hoe’s mound include a stone lantern and two pairs of military official statues. The military official statues demonstrate similarities to those of the royal tombs built in the early period of the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910) and are very rarely seen installed in two pairs, like here.
