암문은 일종의 비밀 통로로 적의 관측이 어려운 곳에 설치된다. 남한산성에는 본성에 11개, 봉암성에 4개, 한봉성에 1개 등 모두 16개의 암문이 있다.

이 암문은 폭 236cm, 높이 265cm로 성 바깥 봉암성과 연결된다. 남한산성 암문 중 가장 크고 웅장하며 홍예식(아치형)이다.

Secret Entrance of the Eastern Command Post Site – Secret Entrance No. 3

A secret entrance (ammun) is an emergency passage that allowed for the undetected movement of forces into and out of a fortress. Namhansanseong Fortress has a total of 16 secret entrances: 11 along the main fortress wall, four along the northeastern auxiliary wall (Bongamseong), and one along the eastern auxiliary wall (Hanbongseong).

This secret entrance is connected to the northeastern auxiliary wall. The arched gateway measures 236 cm in width by 265 cm in height, making it the largest and most impressive among the secret gates of Namhansanseong Fortress.
