Gwangju’s Representative Female K-pop Icon: Zuny of Ladies Code

Narrative

Zuny (Kim Joo-mi, 1994-) is a member of the K-pop girl group Ladies Code and a native of Gwangju. Zuny grew up in the Songjeong-dong Neighborhood of Gwangsan-gu District, attending Songjeongdong Elementary School, Songjeong Middle School, and Myeongjin High School. Other K-pop stars from Gwangju include BTS’s J-Hope (Jung Ho-seok, 1994-), who was born the same year as Zuny, and TVXQ’s U-KNOW (Jung Yunho, 1986-), who are all featured as part of Gwangju’s K-pop Star Street.
