적미자아

Definition

적미자아(赤味子兒)는 붉은 색을 띠는 밤 모양의 과자이다. 왕실 가례 때 동뢰연상에 올린다. 밀가루에 꿀을 넣어 반죽한 다음, 밤 모양으로 만들어 참기름에 튀겨낸 다음 꿀에 담갔다가 지초물을 들인 사분백미(沙粉白米)를 고물로 묻힌 것이다.
