당초문

Definition

식물의 덩굴이나 줄기 형태를 일정한 모양으로 도안화한 장식무늬이다. 일정한 풀을 지칭하는 것이 아니라, 식물 무늬 모두를 일컫는 것으로 종류에 따라 인동당초·포도당초·모란당초 등으로 분류된다.
