Norwich City were made to work hard by Stoke City to earn a point in Saturday's 0-0 draw. Alex Neil's side remain three points above the relegation zone and seven back of playoff places.

Goalkeeper Angus Gunn made three outstanding saves in the opening half to keep Norwich in the game. He stopped Will Smallbone from close range and twice denied striker Jacob Brown.

Goalkeeper Angus Gunn made three excellent saves to keep the Canaries in the game

Angus Gunn made three superb saves to keep Norwich in the game as Stoke & Norwich battled to a goalless draw. After saving Jacob Brown's header, Gunn then denied Tyrese Campbell with another superb stop to keep Stoke out.

Gunn is an innate goalkeeper and it is no surprise that he has had such a successful career so far - especially after following in his father Bryan's footsteps. Despite experiencing numerous in-game injuries during his youth level years, Gunn has worked hard to prove himself worthy at the highest levels.

On Friday night, Smith's performance against Watford put an end to a run of six straight losses. Smith correctly pointed out that lack of protection had been the culprit behind those heavy defeats against Palace and Arsenal - leading to such heavy losses in each match.

As Tim Krul was lost for the season with a shoulder injury during the last round of games, Gunn has been an essential cog in the Canaries' survival efforts this year. He should remain as No. 1 until Krul returns and should be rewarded for his impressive performances this week.

The home side were far superior to the Canaries, yet their dominance could have been broken early on. Dutch loan defender Ki-Jana Hoever had a shot charged down before Ben Wilmot was denied by Gunn from an acute angle.

Despite their superiority, the Potters lacked a reliable counter-attack threat and failed to create chances at will in the opening half hour as Gunn made several fine saves.

The former Potters goalkeeper kept out four attempts from Brown before blocking a close-range header shortly thereafter. Later in the second period, he stopped Will Smallbone's powerful drive before saving another header from Brown.

Marvel Studios may have put The Guardians of the Galaxy on the backburner, but director James Gunn is determined to keep them close by his side. Their holiday special, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Christmas special, stars Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Red Guardian and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster - is set for a festive extravaganza, yet this team is clearly committed to staying together throughout it all.

Throughout its run, the special won over fans with its stunning visual effects and daring stunts - but most of all it's been about building camaraderie between its talented cast members. Not only has director Justin Lin been recruited for this venture but they've also roped in A-list actors including Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pine, and Scarlett Johansson for added star power.
