晴。王憲復來曰。貴國及海西毛隣建州等衛。皆路經于此。貴國 使臣往來。接待唯我與吳壐二人耳。我今年老畏暑。故總兵官差壐伴送你。壐亦好人。你可好還本國。可勿憂也。大抵道途之遠。客旅之中。四體不得息。寢食不以時。疾病易以纏。故不數月間。貴國 使臣若韓瓚，李世弼。相繼道死。其行道若是其難也。今你則歷盡鯨濤鼉浪越南燕北。全其身全其從者而還。天所以置諸危而全之。措諸禍而福之。從可知矣。臣曰。我之保全而來。都是 皇恩所賜。抑又我先人亡靈。必有陰佑之功故也。
맑았습니다.
왕헌이 다시 와서 말하기를,“귀국과 해서위(海西衛), 모린위(毛鄰衛), 건주위(建州衛)등으로 가는 길이 모두 이곳을 거치게 되는데, 귀국의 사신이 왕래할 때 접대하는 사람이 나와 오새 두 사람뿐입니다.
내가 지금 나이가 많아 더위를 견디지 못하므로 총병관께서 오새로 하여금 당신을 호송하게 하셨습니다.
오새도 좋은 사람이어서 당신은 본국으로 잘 돌아갈 수 있을 것이니 걱정하지 마십시오.
대개 먼 길을 여행 중에는 몸을 쉬지 못하고 먹고 자는 것을 제 때 하지 못하여 병이 쉽게 생깁니다.
그런 까닭에 몇 개월도 안 되는 사이에 귀국의 사신 가운데 한찬(韓贊), 이세필(李世弼) 같은 이가 잇달아 길에서 죽었던 것이니 먼 길을 간다는 것은 이처럼 어려운 것입니다.
지금 당신은 험한 파도와 월남(越南), 연북(燕北) 지방을 두루 다 거치면서도 자신과 종자들이 모두 온전히 돌아가게 되었으니, 하늘이 위험에 처하게 했다가 온전히 구해주시고 재앙 속에 빠트렸다가 복을 내려 주신 것을 알 수 있습니다” 라고 하였습니다.
신이 말하기를, “내가 몸을 보전해 온 것은 모두 황제의 은혜 덕택이고, 또 저의 선친(先親)의 신령이 반드시 몰래 도와주신 공이 있기 때문일 것입니다”라고 하였습니다.
26th Day. Fair.
Wang Hsien came again and said, “The road to your country and those to Hai-hsi, Mao-lin, and Chien-chou garrisons pass through here. Only Wu Hsi and I are here to receive the envoys' of your country who pass to and fro. I am old now, and I dread the summer heat. The Regional Commander, therefore, has commissioned my colleague Wu Hsi to accompany you as escort. Wu Hsi is also a good man. Do not worry, you will get back safely to your country.
“Generally, during a long trip the body gets no rest, and sleeping and eating are irregular, so that one easily falls sick. That is why within a few months envoys from your country like Han Ch’an and Yi Se-p’il died one after another on the way. So hard is the journey! Yet you, now, have passed through mountainous seas and come all the way from south of Yüeh to north of Yen. You are going home safe yourself and your followers safe; from that it is evident that Heaven has made dangers to save you and calamities to bring you through them in good fortune.”
I said, “My arrival safe and sound is entirely a gift of the Imperial graciousness. It must also be because my dead father's spirit has been giving me secret help.”

晴。王宪复来曰：“贵国及海西、毛邻、建州等卫皆路经于此。贵国使臣往来接待，唯我与吴玺二人耳。我今年老畏暑，故总兵官差玺伴送你。玺亦好人，你可好还本国，可勿忧也。大抵道途之远，客旅之中，四体不得息，寝食不以时，疾病易以缠，故不数月间，贵国使臣若韩瓒、李世弼相继道死。其行道若是其难也。今你则历尽鲸涛鼍浪、越南燕北，全其身全其从者而还，天所以置诸危而全之，措诸祸而福之，从可知矣。”臣曰：“我之保全而来，都是皇恩所赐，抑又我先人亡灵必有阴佑之功故也。”
