해설문
국문
송단은 마을 뒤쪽 동솔밭에서 이어지는 내백호의 지맥이 끝나는 지점이다. 1618년 이윤우가 벼슬을 버리고 낙향하여 이곳에 초당을 짓고 지천면 신리 웃갓마을과 매원마을을 오가며 머물렀다고 한다.
한편 『감호당중수기』에 따르면 조정 내 붕당 간 대립이 심해지자 이윤우의 손자인 이원록의 후손들이 벼슬길에 나아가지 않고도 임금에게 충절을 바친다는 의미로 사시사철 변함없는 푸른 소나무를 이곳에 심었다고 한다. 이후 마을 주민들은 소나무 밑에 단상을 마련하고 마을에 우환이 있을 때 이곳에서 제사를 지냈다고 전해진다.

영문 해설 내용
송단은 매원마을 주민들이 소나무 밑에 단상을 마련하고 마을에 우환이 있을 때 제사를 지내던 곳이다.
조선시대의 문신 이윤우(1569-1634)는 원래 이 마을에서 남동쪽으로 약 6km 떨어진 신리 웃갓마을에 살고 있었는데, 이곳에 초당을 짓고 두 마을을 오가며 지냈다고 한다. 나중에 이윤우는 매원마을에 정착하여 광주이씨 후손들이 대대로 살게 되었다. 그 후손들은 조정 내 붕당 간의 대립이 심해지자 벼슬길에 나아가지 않고도 임금에게 충절을 바친다는 의미로 사시사철 변함없는 푸른 소나무를 이곳에 심었다고 한다.
