해설문

국문

광명실은 책을 보관하고 열람하던 곳이다. 습기로 책이 망가지는 것을 막기 위해 땅에서 높이 떨어진 건물로 지었다. 현판의 글씨는 퇴계선생의 친필이다. 광명(光明)은 ‘수많은 책들이 광명을 비추어준다.’는 의미이다.
