이 탑은 우리 시 출신 독립유공자의 애국정신을 기리고 이분들의 공헌과 희생을 항구적으로 존중하고 숭고한 정신을 후손들에게 길이 전하고자 건립되었습니다.
여기는 독립유공자의 애국 영혼이 모셔진 성스러운 곳입니다. 모두가 겸손하고 엄숙한 마음 자세로 먼저 가신 순국선열들의 애국 충절의 혼을 깊이 되새겨 주시기 바랍니다.
영문
Memorial Monument for Persons of Distinguished Service to Independence
This memorial monument was built in 2009 to honor the patriotism and contribution of independence activists from the city of Gwangyang and to convey their noble spirit to the future generation.
The names of 25 independence activists and a memorial text are inscribed on the left and right walls, respectively, behind the monument.
영문 해설 내용
이 추모탑은 광양시 출신 독립유공자의 애국정신과 공헌을 기리고 숭고한 정신을 후손들에게 길이 전하고자 2009년에 건립되었다.
탑의 왼쪽 석판에는 독립유공자 25인의 이름이 새겨져 있고, 오른쪽 석판에는 추모의 글이 새겨져 있다.
