남측 궁장의 최동단의 모서리 구간에 위치하며, 남측 궁장의 문지 3개소와 동일한 간격(50m)으로 이격 되어 조성되었다. 조사 결과, 9.8m 폭을 갖춘 문지이나 그 위로 다시 궁장이 연결되었던 것이 확인되었다. 궁장이 처음 축조될 당시에는 판축 토단을 갖춘 문루와 같은 구조물이 설치되었으나 단기간 사용되다 폐기되었으며, 이후 별도의 기초시설 없이 기존 판축토 상부에 궁장이 설치되었던 것으로 추정된다.

Palace Enclosure Wall - Southeastern Gate Site

This is the site of one of three gates that were situated at the southern side of the enclosure wall that surrounded the Baekje palace built here during the reign of King Mu (r. 600-641). The gates stood 50 m apart along the 240 m-wide facade of the palace.

This gate measured 9.8 m in width and was located toward the eastern (right) end of the palace's southern facade. Excavations suggest that there was initially an earthen platform with a gate pavilion at this site, but shortly thereafter, the gate pavilion was demolished and the stone enclosure wall was constructed atop the existing earthen platform.
