비(B) 작업장은 비(B) 가마에 그릇을 넣어 굽기 전까지 재료를 준비하고 그릇의 형태를 만드는 공간으로, 에이(A) 가마의 위쪽에 자리하고 있다. 에이(A) 작업장과 달리 백토가 깔린 바닥면은 없고, 백토를 건조하는 온돌 시설이 2기 발견되었다.

2기의 온돌 시설 중 하나는 에이(A) 작업장의 온돌 시설과 달리 온전하게 남아 있는데 편평한 돌(구들장)들이 고르게 깔려 있고, 이 돌들 아래에 고래가 확인된다. 다른 하나는 에이(A) 작업장의 온돌 시설과 비슷하게 고래를 덮어서 깐 돌은 없고 고래만 2줄이 남아 있다.

Workshop B (Joseon-period White Porcelain Kiln Site in Sanbon-dong, Gunpo)

Workshop B is located above Kiln A and served as the space where materials necessary for porcelain production were prepared and the vessels were shaped prior to firing in Kiln B. The structural remains of the workshop include two underfloor-heating facilities for drying clay. Unlike Workshop A, this workshop does not have any white clay deposits on the floor.

The underfloor-heating facilities consist of a firebox which generated heat that passed through flues and heated stone slabs installed above. It is presumed to have been used for drying clay. As dried clay becomes brittle and easily dissolvable in water, this step was necessary to remove impurities. One of the two underfloor-heating facilities is preserved in a complete state with the stone slabs neatly laid over the flues. The other facility has only two flue ducts preserved with no stone slabs remaining.

B 작업장은 B 가마에 그릇을 넣어 굽기 전까지 재료를 준비하고 그릇의 형태를 만드는 공간으로, A 가마의 위쪽에 자리하고 있다. A 작업장의 바닥 면에는 백토가 얇게 깔려 있는 데 반해, B 작업장 바닥에는 백토가 없고 온돌 시설만 2기 발견되었다.

온돌은 아궁이에 불을 지피면 불길이 고래를 타고 지나가면서 고래 위를 덮어서 깐 편평한 돌을 데우는 시설이다. 백토를 말리면 잘 부서지고 물에도 잘 풀어져 불순물을 제거하기 쉽기 때문에, 온돌에서 건조하여 그릇을 만드는 데 사용하였던 것으로 추측된다. 2기의 온돌 시설 중 하나는 온전하게 남아 있는데, 구들장이 고르게 깔려 있고, 이 돌들 아래에 고래가 확인된다. 다른 하나는 고래를 덮어서 깐 돌은 없고 고래만 2줄이 남아 있다.
