국문
이 불상은 신체와 광배(光背)가 한 돌로 조각된 것으로서 얼굴이 떨어지고 발 부분이 일부 매몰되었던 것을 시멘트로 접한 것으로서 얼굴 부위가 심하게 헐어 정확한 정체를 알 수 없다. 하지만 옷을 걸치고 있는 형식과 양손의 손가락 모습, 그리고 불상 뒷면의 광배에 새겨진 식물 덩굴이나 줄기를 표현한 장식무늬〔唐草紋〕와 불꽃무늬〔火焰紋〕등으로 보아 통일신라의 전통을 따르고 있다. 불상의 전체 높이는 2.7m이고 몸통 넓이는 1.75m, 앞 뒤 두께는 50cm이다. 작품을 다듬은 선이 원만하며 전체적으로 모습이 소박하여 아늑한 느낌을 준다.

영문 해설 내용
화강암으로 만든 이 불상은 부처가 서 있는 모습과 부처의 몸에서 나오는 빛을 형상화한 광배가 하나의 돌에 새겨져 있다. 불상이 만들어진 시기와 이곳에 모셔진 시기에 대해서는 정확히 알 수 없다.
광배는 상당 부분이 떨어져 나간 상태이고, 얼굴과 발 부분도 파손되었던 것을 시멘트로 보수하였다. 얼굴 부위가 심하게 마모되어 정확한 모습을 확인할 수 없고, 양손은 소매 속에 넣어 팔짱을 끼고 있다. 광배에는 덩굴무늬와 불꽃무늬가 새겨져 있다. 불상의 전체 높이는 2.7m이고, 몸통 너비는 1.75m, 두께는 0.5m이다.
