임대정 원림을 경영하던 여흥 민씨 종가댁인 본가는 임대정의 동측에 위치하며 약 50m 정도 떨어져 있다. 사애 민주현 선생은 이곳에 거주하면서 임대정 원림을 경영하였다.

민주현의 후손에 의하면 1860년경에는 안채 1동, 사랑채 1동, 곳간채 2동, 문간채 1동, 사당 1동으로 조성되어 있었다고 한다. 현재는 안채 1동, 사랑채 1동, 곳간채 1동이 복원되어 있다.

Head House of the Yeoheung Min Clan

The head house of the Yeoheung Min Clan, located about 50 m to the east of Imdaejeong Pavilion, was the family home of Min Ju-hyeon (1808-1882) and where he lived while maintaining Imdaejeong Garden. Circa the 1860s when Imdaejeong Garden was established, the house is said to have consisted of a women’s quarters, a men’s quarters, two storehouses, a gate quarters, and a shrine. However, over time, the house fell into disrepair and was eventually demolished. The current buildings, which include a women’s quarters, a men’s quarters, and a storehouse, were newly built in 0000.

영문 해설 내용

임대정에서 동쪽으로 약 50m 떨어진 곳에 있든 여흥민씨 종택은 민주현이 거주하면서 임대정 원림을 경영하던 곳이다. 임대정이 지어지던 1860년 무렵 종택은 안채 1동, 사랑채 1동, 곳간채 2동, 문간채 1동, 사당 1동으로 구성되어 있었다고 한다. 이후 종택은 퇴락하여 없어졌다가, 0000년 안채 1동, 사랑채 1동, 곳간채 1동이 다시 지어졌다.
