강당 뒷편의 제향 영역은 제사를 지내는 공간과 이를 준비하는 공간으로 체인묘(體仁廟), 전사청(典祀廳), 경각(經閣), 비각이 있다.

Ritual Area
Confucian academies are composed of a lecture area and a ritual area.
In Oksanseowon Confucian Academy, the ritual area consists of an inner gate leading into an enclosed ritual yard, the shrine in the center of the yard, and a ritual preparation hall to the right where vessels and offerings needed during rituals are stored and prepared. To the left of the enclosed ritual yard is a pavilion which houses a stele erected in 1577 that commemorates Yi Eon-jeok’s life and achievements. To the right of the yard is a pavilion which holds writings and books bestowed by the king and calligraphy by important scholars.
The shrine, called Cheinmyo, houses the spirit tablet of Yi Eon-jeok. The shrine’s name means “Shrine of Embodied Benevolence.”
