거제현 관아 송덕비*군은 철(鐵)비가 6기, 석비가 8기 총 14기로 이루어져 있으며 건립연대는 17세기에서 18세기가 대부분이다.

비들은 1974~76년 기성관 해체 복원 작업 시 이 곳으로 옮겼다.

17~18세기에 많이 세워졌다고 하나 석비에 비해 소수가 전해지고 있는 철비가 6기나 존재하는 것에서 그 의미가 큰 것으로 평가된다.

These 14 steles were made in the 17th-18th centuries to commemorate the achievements of government officials who held administrative posts in the Geoje area during the Joseon period (1392-1910). The collection consists of six iron steles and eight stone steles.
