해설문
국문
이 집은 청풍면 황석리에 있던 옛집으로, 초가집인 문간채와 一자형의 안채, 기와를 올린 화장실 3동으로 구성되어 있다. 안채의 왼쪽 1칸의 부엌 앞에 작은 뒤주를 두었는데, 곡물이나 먹거리 등을 저장한 공간으로 보인다. 3칸의 방을 한 공간처럼 사용할 수 있는 문을 방과 방 사이에 달아놓은 것이 특징이다. 황석리 고가는 규모가 크지 않으나 조선 시대 시골 양반집의 모습을 살펴볼 수 있다. 충주댐을 만들면서 현재의 위치로 옮겼다.

This house was built in the late period of Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). It was relocated from its original place, Dohwa-ri, Cheongpung-myeon to the current location in 1985 due to the construction of Chungju Dam.

영문 해설 내용
이 집은 조선 후기에 지어진 주택이다. 청풍면 황석리에 있던 집인데, 1985년 충주댐을 만들면서 현재의 위치로 옮겼다.
초가집인 문간채, 안채, 기와를 올린 화장실 등 3동으로 구성되어 있다. 부엌 앞에 작은 툇간을 두어 곡물 등 먹거리를 저장하였다. 안채에는 대청마루가 없는 대신 방문 앞에 길게 툇마루를 붙였다. 3칸의 방을 필요할 때 한 공간처럼 사용할 수 있도록 방과 방 사이에 벽 대신 문을 달아놓은 것이 특징이다.
