해설문
국문
지석묘는 청동기 시대의 대표적인 무덤으로 ‘고인돌’이라고도 하며, 주로 정치권력과 경제적 부를 가진 지배층의 무덤으로 알려져 있다. 땅 위에 여러 개의 큰 받침돌을 둘러 세우고 그 위에 넓적하고 거대한 덮개돌을 얹어 만드는 형식이다.
홍성 지석묘는 충청남도 홍성군 구항면 태봉리와 은하면 금국리·학산리가 접하는 낮은 언덕 위에 있다. 돌도끼 1점이 발견되었다고 하나, 현재 어디에 있는지 확인할 수 없는 상태이다. 돌로 만든 칼(磨製石劍)의 몸체 부분 부스러기 1점도 발견되었다.

There are four dolmens located on a small hill between Taebong-ri, Geumguk-ri, and Haksan-ri Villages. 영문 해설 내용
지석묘는 청동기시대의 대표적인 거석 구조물이다. 지석묘는 유럽, 아프리카, 아시아 등에 분포하고 있는데, 한반도는 세계에서 가장 집중적으로 분포된 지역이다.
홍성 지석묘는 총 4기로 홍성 태봉리, 금국리, 학산리가 접하는 낮은 언덕 위에 있다. 모두 받침돌을 세워 지상에 돌방을 만들고 그 위에 넓고 평평한 덮개돌을 올려놓은 바둑판식이다. 간돌칼과 돌도끼가 1점씩 발견되었다고 한다.
