    • Program Remarks - One of the foci of Cultural Anthropology at SFSU is the study of ethnic, class and race relations around the world. In the contemporary world, many societies are multi-ethnic and multi-cultural. To understand how such societies change we need to know how their various groups interact and influence one another. Our faculty have done research on ethnicity in China, Japan, Korea, Central America, the Caribbean, New Guinea, Native California, and the U.S. inner city.
