Definition

1894년 6월 의정부 8아문의 하나인 탁지아문은 이전의 호조(戶曹) 기능을 계승하면서 다른 재정 관련 부서의 업무를 통폐합하여 설치되었다. 탁지아문은 회계·출납·조세·국채(國債)·화폐·은행 등에 관한 사무를 관장하고 각 지방의 재무를 감독하던 중앙 관서였다. 그 산하에는 총무국과 주세국(主稅局), 주계국(主計局), 출납국(出納局), 국채국(國債局), 저치국(儲置局), 기록국, 전환국(典圜局), 은행국(銀行局), 회계국 등 다양한 부서가 있었다. 1895년 4월 탁지아문은 탁지부(度支部)로 명칭을 변경하였고 소속 관서도 대폭 축소되었다.
