흥례문 현판

Definition

‘흥례(興禮)’란 ‘예를 일으킨다’는 의미이다. 인, 의, 예, 지, 신의 다섯덕목 가운데 예(禮)가 오행상 남쪽과 연관되므로, 이와 같이 이름지은 것이다. 이 현판은 2001년 설치하였다. 서예가인 소헌(紹軒) 정도준(鄭道準)이 쓰고 중요무형문화재 제106호 각자장(刻字匠) 기능 보유자인 철재(鐵齋) 오옥진(吳玉鎭)이 새겼다. [1] [2]
