삿갓

Definition

삿갓[蓑笠]은 농사를 짓거나 나무하는 사람들이 비를 막거나 햇빛을 가리는 갓이다. 노립(蘆笠)·두봉(斗篷)이라고도 한다. 최(蓑, 도롱이)와 립(笠, 삿갓)을 따로 보는 경우도 있다. 서유구(徐有榘)의 《임원경제지 섬용지(林園經濟志 贍用志)》에 여러 문헌에 나오는 삿갓의 예와 만드는 방법이 실려있다.
