Definition

가마는 한 사람이 안에 타고 둘이나 넷이 들거나 메던, 조그만 집 모양의 탈것이다. 견여(肩輿), 재여(載輿), 담자(擔子), 두자(兠子) 따위가 있다. 서유구(徐有榘)의 《임원경제지 섬용지(林園經濟志 贍用志)》에 가마의 종류와 제도 등이 실려있다.
