在灤河驛。是日晴。張述祖令其子仲英還于北京。仲英誤懷兵部交付臣等于廣寧太監之關文而去。述祖使人追之。日暮乃返。故不得已而留。夜大雷電以雨。

난하역에 머물렀습니다.

이 날은 맑았습니다.

장술조가 그 아들 중영을 북경으로 돌아가게 했는데, 중영이 잘못하여 병부에서 신 등을 광녕태감(廣寧太監)에게 넘겨주는 관문(關文)을 가지고 가버렸습니다.

장술조가 사람을 시켜 뒤쫓게 했는데 해가 저물어서야 돌아와 하는 수 없이 하루 더 묵게 되었습니다.

밤에 큰 천둥과 번개가 치면서 비가 내렸습니다.

3rd Day. At Luan-ho Station. This day was fair.

Chang Shu-tsu ordered his son Chung-ying to return to Peking. Chung-ying left, taking with him by mistake the document by which the Ministry of War was to transfer us to the Overseer of Kuang-ning. Chang Shu-tsu sent a man after him, but since it was sunset when he returned, there was nothing to do but stay there. At night there were heavy thunder, lightning and rain.
