2023년 수원 화성행궁 신풍루를 광대역 3D 스캔장비로 실측하여 제작한 3D 디지털 에셋이다.

신풍루(新豊樓)는 화성행궁의 정문이다. 이층의 누각구조로 아래층은 출입문으로 쓰고, 위층에는 큰 북을 두어 군사들이 주변을 감시하고 신호를 보내는 용도로 사용했다. 문루 좌우에는 행랑을 두었고, 양쪽 끝에는 군영을 배치해서 행궁의 경호체제를 갖췄다.

1789년(정조 13)에 수원읍의 관청 건물을 세우면서 그 정문으로 지었는데, 처음에는 진남루(鎭南樓)라 부르다가 1795년(정조 19) 혜경궁 홍씨의 회갑연을 열면서 이름을 고쳤다. 지금의 건물은 2002년에 복원되었다. 1795년 정조는 화성행궁에서 어머니 혜경궁 홍씨의 회갑연을 열었는데, 잔치 다음날 신풍루에서 가난한 백성들에게 쌀을 나누어주고 굶주린 백성에게 죽을 끓여 먹이는 진휼행사를 베풀었다. 당시 행사 모습이 1797년 쓰여진 『원행을묘정리의궤』에 「신풍루사미도」라는 그림으로 남아 있다.

현재 신풍루 앞에는 무예24기 시연, 장용영 수위의식 같은 상설문화공연을 여는 광장을 비롯해 홍살문과 하마비가 있다.

신풍루는 『원행을묘정리의궤』(1797)의 「화성행궁도」, 『뎡니의궤』(1797-1801 사이 추정)의 「신풍누도」, 『화성성역의궤』(1801)의 「행궁전도」 등에 자세하게 그려져있다.

English

Sinpungnu is the main gate of this temporary palace. The name “Sinpungnu (新豊樓),” meaning “pavilion of New Feng,” comes from a story about Emperor Gaozu (漢高祖), the founder of Han China. The emperor built a town in the new capital after his hometown, Feng (豊, "Pung" in Korean), and called it New Feng (新豊). Because King Jeongjo regarded Hwaseong Fortress as his new hometown, he named the main gate of this temporary palace after this example.

When King Jeongjo visited the temporary palace in 1795, a charity event was held in front of this gate pavilion to distribute rice to the local residents and serve porridge to the poor.

Currently, there is a square in front of Sinpungnu where permanent cultural performances are held.

Sinpungru is depicted in detail in 'Wonhaeng Eulmyojeongri-Uigwe' (1796), 'Dyeongni-uigwe' (estimated 1797), and 'Hwaseong-seongyeok-uigwe' (1801).
