목포곡물검사소

Definition

목포곡물검사소 (木浦穀物檢査所,1909~)은 1876년 개항 이후 일본으로 쌀 수출량이 증가하면서 수출하는 미곡에 대한 검사의 필요성 제기되었다. 처음에는 필요에 따라 지역별로 시작했는데, 조선 전체에 대해서 통일적인 검사를 시행하기 위해 조선총독부 직속으로 곡물검사소를 설치하였다. 일본으로 수출하는 미곡을 검사하기 위해 1909년 목포상업회의소에서 수출하는 쌀을 검사하기 시작했다.
