암문은 일종의 비밀 통로로 적이 관측하기 어려운 곳에 설치된다. 남한산성에는 모두 16개의 암문이 있는데 본성에 11개, 봉암성에 4개, 한봉성에 1개가 설치되어 있다.

한흥사지 암문은 폭 100cm, 높이 200cm로 성 바깥 제3남옹성과 경기도 광주시 검복리로 연결된다. 암문 안쪽은 평거식(직사각형)이고 바깥쪽은 홍예식(아치형)이다.

• Secret Entrance of Hanheungsa Temple Site - Secret Entrance No. 10

A secret entrance (ammun) is an emergency passage that allowed for the undetected movement of forces into and out of a fortress.

This secret entrance is located near Hanheungsa Temple Site. Measuring 100 cm in width and 200 cm in height, it features differently shaped inner and outer portals, with the inner portal being rectangular and the outer portal being arched.

Namhansanseong Fortress has a total of 16 secret entrances: 11 along the main fortress wall, four along the northeastern auxiliary wall (Bongamseong), and one along the eastern auxiliary wall (Hanbongseong).

영문 해설 내용

암문은 아군이 적군 몰래 성을 드나들 수 있도록 만든 비상통로이다.

이 암문은 옥정사지 인근에 설치되어 있다. 폭 100cm, 높이 200cm이고, 문의 형태는 안쪽은 직사각형이고 바깥쪽은 아치형이다.

남한산성에는 모두 16개의 암문이 있는데 본성에 11개, 북동쪽 봉암성에 4개, 동쪽 한봉성에 1개가 설치되어 있다.
