해설문
국문
신도비란 죽은 사람을 기리기 위해 무덤 앞에 세우는 비석이다. 산청 권도 신도비는 조선 순조 16년(1816)에 조선 중기 문신인 동계 권도(權濤)의 업적을 기리기 위해 세웠으며, 비석의 글은 조선 후기 문신이었던 채제공이 지었다.
신도비는 높이 약 3.3m로, 담장이 둘러진 비각 안에 보관되어 있으며, 비석은 보존상태가 매우 좋고 비석에 새겨진 글자 또한 선명하게 남아있다. 비의 주인인 권도와 글을 쓴 채제공은 당시 학문적·정치적으로 뛰어난 인물들로, 신도비 또한 유학사적으로 큰 의미를 가지고 있다.

이 비는 조선시대의 문신이자 학자인 권도(1575-1644)의 생애와 업적을 기리기 위해 1816년에 세운 것이다.
권도는 1613년 과거에 합격한 이후 여러 관직을 두루 맡았으며, 사후 이조판서에 추증되었다.
비석은 비각 안에 보관되어 있으며, 높이는 약 3.3m이다. 보존상태가 매우 좋고 비석에 새겨진 글자 또한 선명하게 남아 있다. 비문은 18세기 말 영의정을 역임한 채제공(1720-1799)이 지었다.
