국문
춘천 신매리 석실고분은 고구려 무덤의 영향을 받은 돌방무덤으로, 1982년 밭을 정리하던 중에 돌방의 뚜껑돌이 발견되면서 그 모습이 밝혀졌다. 뚜껑돌은 지하 1m 깊이에 있었는데, 무덤은 도굴되지 않은 상태였으나 유물은 발견되지 않았고 두 사람의 뼈가 흩어져 있었다.
시신을 두는 돌방은 길이 190cm, 너비 138cm, 최대 높이 130cm이다. 돌방 벽은 자연석과 냇돌로 4~5단을 쌓아 올렸는데, 돌방의 천장은 벽면 윗부분이 안쪽으로 조금씩 기울도록 쌓아 올린 후 그 위에 큰 판돌을 올린 모줄임천장이다. 돌방으로 이어지는 널길은 남쪽 벽에 있다.

이 석실고분은 6세기 무렵에 만들어진 것으로 추정된다. 1982년 밭을 정리하던 중에 지하 1m 깊이에서 돌방의 뚜껑돌이 발견되었다. 무덤은 도굴되지 않은 상태였으나, 무덤 안에서 유물은 발견되지 않았고 두 사람의 뼈가 흩어져 있었다.
무덤 내부는 시신을 둔 돌방과 남쪽 벽에 있는 통로로 이루어져 있다. 돌방은 길이 190cm, 너비 138cm, 최대 높이 130cm이다. 돌방 벽은 돌을 4~5단으로 쌓아 올렸고, 천장은 벽면 윗부분이 안쪽으로 조금씩 기울도록 쌓아 올린 후 그 위에 큰 판돌을 올린 모줄임천장이다.
