Taesansa Shrine is a shrine built to commemorate scholar Jeon U (1841-1922) and his disciple Gwon Sun-myeong (1891-1974). In 1955, Gwon Sun-myeong built Taesansa Shrine for performing veneration rituals for Jeon U and in 1981, Gwon Sun-myeong was enshrined additionally after passing away.

태산사는 근대 유학자 간재 전우(艮齋 田愚, 1841~1922)와 그 제자인 권순명(權純命, 1891~1974)을 기리는 사당이다. 1955년 권순명이 스승인 전우를 제사 지내기 위해 태산사를 세웠고, 권순명이 죽은 1981년 권순명을 추가로 모셔 오늘에 이르고 있다.

전우는 전주 출신으로 유학 중흥을 통한 국권 회복을 주장하며 평생을 학문 연마와 후학 양성에 힘썼다. 권순명은 정읍 고부 출신으로 창씨개명에 반대하다 투옥되기도 하였으며, 면학당을 세워 후진 양성에도 많은 노력을 기울였다.

Taesansa Shrine was established in 1955 by the scholar Gwon Sun-myeong (1891-1974) to commemorate his teacher, the scholar Jeon U (1841-1922). After his death, Gwon Sun-myeong also came to be commemorated here from 1981.

태산사는 학자 전우(1841-1922)와 그 제자인 권순명(1891-1974)을 기리는 사당이다. 1955년 권순명이 전우를 제사 지내기 위해 태산사를 세웠고, 권순명이 죽은 뒤인 1981년 권순명을 추가로 모셨다.

전우는 19세기 말 20세기 초 한국의 정세가 혼란할 때, 유학의 중흥만이 국권을 회복할 수 있는 길이라 주장하며 평생을 학문 연마와 후학 양성에 힘썼다. 권순명도 스승의 뜻을 이어 평생 학문과 후진 양성에 많은 노력을 기울였다. 일제가 한국인들의 이름을 일본식으로 바꾸도록 강요하자 이에 반대하다 투옥되기도 하였다.
