해설문

국문

우재 손중돈(愚齋 孫仲暾, 1463~1529)의 11대 손인 손종호(孫鍾昊)가 많은 돈을 들여 1780년경에 건립한 부호가(富豪家) 주택이다. 당초에는 교롱암(敎聾庵)이라고 하였으나, 고종 3년(1866)에 손명수(孫明秀)가 문과에 합격하여 궁내부 주사(主事)가 된 후부터 ‘주사댁’이라 불리게 되었다.

ㄱ자 모양의 안채와 ㄱ자 모양의 사랑채를 나란히 두고 각각 담을 쌓고 출입문을 만들어 별도의 공간으로 구분 하였다. 안채에는 초가지붕의 방앗간 겸 외양간이 있고 사랑채 마당에는 동쪽으로 치우쳐 초가가 있다.
