해설문

국문

• 1801년(순조 1) 창건

제사를 주관하는 헌관이 행사를 준비하는 곳이다. 국왕이 직접 제사를 지낼 때 면 어재실로도 쓰였다. 재실 앞 협문 안쪽으로는 정전까지 어로를 마련하고 잠시 대기하는 장소인 판위(版位)를 설치했다. 1908년 정조 어진을 서울로 옮긴 뒤 빈 화령전을 수원의 풍화당(風化堂) 부로(父老)들에게 관리하도록 하는 조처가 있었는데, 그 흔적으로 재실에 풍화당 현판이 걸려있다.

국문 수정

재실은 제사를 주관하는 헌관이 준비하는 건물이다. 국왕이 직접 제사를 지낼 때면 어재실(御齋室)로 쓰였다. 재실에서 정전 앞까지 임금이 지나가는 길인 어로와 잠시 대기하는 장소인 판위(版位)가 설치되어 있다. 1908년 어진을 서울로 옮긴 뒤 비어 있는 화령전 건물을 수원의 풍화당(風化堂) 부로(父老)들에게 관리하도록 했는데, 그 이후로 풍화당이라고 불리게 되었다.

Ritual House

This is a ritual house where the officiants who presided over the rituals prepared for the rituals. When a king took part in the rituals in person, he changed his clothes here and entered into the courtyard of the main hall through the gate in front of this ritual house. A brick pathway was laid to mark the path from this ritual house to the main hall.

The wooden plaque hung on this building reads “Punghwadang (風化堂),” meaning “a hall for cultivating the customs and discipline of society.” The building got this name in the early 20th century when it was used by local Confucian scholars, after rituals were suspended at Hwaryeongjeon Shrine.
