국문

이안청은 임시로 어진을 봉안하는 곳이다. 가운데 두 칸은 대청으로 그 안에 평상을 두었으며, 양 측면 토방은 기물을 보관하는 용도이다. 이안청과 정전 사이는 지붕을 덮은 복도인 복도각을 두었는데 조선시대 제사 시설 가운데서도 흔치 않은 방식이다. 조선시대 어진을 봉안한 건물 중에 정전과 이안청, 복도각이 온전한 형태로 남아있는 사례는 화령전이 유일하다.

국문 수정

이안청은 어진을 임시로 보관하는 건물이며, 복도각은 정전과 이안청을 잇는 행각이다. 정전을 수리하거나 변고가 생겼을 때 어진과 서책 등 기물을 옮겨놓기 위해 이안청을 만들었다. 정전 곁에 이안청을 두는 것은 어진을 모시는 영전 건축물에서 일반적이지만 정전과 이안청을 복도각으로 연결한 방식은 화령전에서만 볼 수 있다. 화령전은 조선시대 영전 건축물에서 복도각이 적용된 최초의 사례이자 온전한 형태로 남아있는 유일한 사례다.

Iancheong

This building was designed to temporarily house the royal portraits in an emergency. At other times, the building was used to store various items necessary for the rituals. A roofed corridor was built between Unhangak and this building, and a royal palanquin was used for moving the portraits. Among the remaining ritual facilities constructed in the Joseon period, this is the only case in which the main hall, the temporary housing building, and the corridor are all preserved.

Iancheong Hall and Connecting Corridor

This annex hall was designed to temporarily house the royal portraits in unusual circumstances, such as when the main hall underwent repairs. Normally, it was used to store various items necessary for the rituals. It is connected to the main hall via a roofed corridor which was built to facilitate the safe moving of items between the two buildings. Among the extant ritual facilities constructed in the Joseon period, this is the only case in which the main hall, annex hall, and connecting corridor all remain.
