화령전 제사에 사용하는 물을 길어 올리는 우물이다. 이곳을 어정(御井)이라고 부른 기록은 화령전의 제사 절차와 관리지침을 적은 <화령전응행절목>에서 볼 수 있다. 돌로 주변을 잘 다듬고 물이 흘러넘치는 부분도 돌로 통로를 만들어 정성스럽게 꾸몄다. 한 동안 관리가 안 되어 사라졌다가 2001년에 발굴조사하고 정비하였다. 우물 깊이는 약 5.4미터이다.

국문 수정

어정은 화령전 제사에 사용하는 물을 길어 올리는 우물이다. 일반적으로 왕실 사당에는 별도로 우물을 만들어서 정결한 물을 사용했다. 화령전 어정은 화강석으로 정교하게 다듬은 형태로 물이 흘러넘치는 통로까지도 정성스럽게 꾸며져 있다. 1908년 어진이 서울로 옮겨간 후 관리가 안 되어 사라졌다가 2001년에 발굴조사를 통해 정비했다. 깊이는 약 5.4m이다.

Well

This well was used to supply the water for rituals. Well-trimmed granite blocks formed the well, and a separate channel was added for the water to flow through. When the rituals were suspended in the early 20th century, this well was buried, but was discovered again during an excavation survey in 2001. It was rebuilt in 2004, and its current depth measures about 5.4 m.
