해설문

국문

철산정사는 임진왜란 때의 선무원종공신인 증 자헌대부 병조판서 이달(李達) 장군을 모신 사당으로, 1880년에 세워졌다.

정사는 강당과 대문채의 2동으로 구성되어 있으며, 서로 마주보게 배치되어 있다. 그 둘레를 담장이 감싸고 있다. 경내는 앞면의 바깥 부분보다 높으며 지형은 거의 평탄하다. 담장 내부 벽의 중간 높이에 가로질러 끼우는 나무인 중인방이 설치되어 있으며, 창 아래에는 높은 문지방인 머름이 설치되어 있다. 단순하고 소박한 조선시대 가구법을 잘 따르고 있기 때문에 조선시대 건축사를 연구하는 데 중요한 자료이다.

Cheolsanjeongsa Shrine

This shrine was built in 1880 to honor Yi Dal (1561-1618), a leader of a civilian army during the Japanese invasions in the 1590s. The shrine consists of a main building and a gate quarters, which face each other, and is enclosed by a wall. The main building has a wooden-floor hall and three underfloor-heated rooms. The gate quarters includes a storage space. The construction of these buildings followed the typical architectural style of the Joseon period. The buildings were repaired in 1931.
