국문

영월 대야동굴은 용담굴의 남동쪽에 있는 석회동굴이다. 총 길이는 약 450m이고, 두 갈래로 갈라진 나뭇가지 모양이다.

동굴 안에는 지하수가 흐르며 지하수가 흐르는 곳에는 물방울 모양의 형성물들이 큰 덩어리로 늘어져 있다. 입구에서 약간 떨어진 곳에 있는 다른 좁은 통로에서는 항상 물이 흘러나온다. 고드름처럼 생긴 천장의 종유석과 바닥에서 돌출되어 올라온 석순이 잘 발달되어 있다.

Daeyadonggul Cave, Yeongwol

Daeyadonggul is a limestone cave located to the southeast of Yongdamgul Cave. It is a tree-shaped cave and splits into two branches with a total length of about 450 m.

The underground water running through the cave features large groups of droplet-shaped formations distributed alongside(?). Slightly further away from the entrance, there is another narrow passage where water runs constantly. The cave is full of well-developed stalactites hanging from the ceiling and stalagmites protruding from the floor.
